About me:

A WIZARD's TALE
..I was born the progeny of Czech and Croatian Jewish great-grandparents. My great-grandparents fled Czechoslovakia prior to the world war and the occupation of Prague. If they had failed to escape I would probably never have been born. God truly works mysteriously. My father met my mother in SC as teenagers and it was love at first sight.

I had a wonderful childhood with two parents who loved me very much. My father passed away in 1979 of pancreatic cancer and my mother died of cancer in 1999. I do have a brother, and although we are estranged I love him very much.
My nickname, WIZARD is from an inside joke.
I have earned a number of college degrees in theatre, though my BA is actually in Education. I have several AA degrees in Theatre and Theatre Arts.
Although I spend most of my time in my childhood hometown Newberry, South Carolina.
I became interested in the hair industry in my early 30s and became quite successful at it. I was a platform artist for Redken Laboratories for 6 years after which I opened my own salon franchise.I later developed my own patented gravimetric cutting system which is now taught in most cosmetology and barber training facilities.
I'm very easy-going and slow to anger. I'm an Aries/Sagittarius if that means anything. I read a lot and I like old films. I have a dog who is a dachshund-beagle mix. His name is Rambo. Rambo is my best buddy and we are inseparable I travel when possible and I love NYC for the shopping and the theatre. I am a patron of the arts and enjoy encouraging fresh musical and acting talent wherever I find it. ..




THE WAKING... by Theodore Roethke I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow. I feel my fate in what I cannot fear. I learn by going where I have to go. We think by feeling. What is there to know? I hear my being dance from ear to ear. I wake to sleep and take my waking slow. Of those so close beside me, which are you? God bless the Ground! I shall walk softly there And learn by going where I have to go. Light takes the Tree; but who can tell us how? The lowly worm climbs up a winding stair; I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow. Great Nature has another thing to do To you and me; so take the lively air. And, lovely, learn by going where to go. This shaking keeps me steady. I should know. What falls away is always.
