In 2001, Wizards’ Hymn started its career as a cover band called “WHIP” by Kensuke Imai and Toshimasa Kato who were high school students at that time. For a while, they’d been playing metal, punk, rock as a hobby, but in 2003 they began to compose original metal songs and changed their band name to “Wizards’ Hymn”. After lots of lineup changes, Kimiko Shirao joined the band in the summer of that year. And Tsutomu Aruga completed the lineup at the beginning of 2004. .... In 2004, Wizards’ Hymn released three demo CDs, “Through the Wilderness”, “Wings of Time” and “The Call from the Unknown”. Because they offered these demos free of charge via mail order, the WH’s mailbox was avalanched with e-mails for demos from hundreds of people from more than 30 nations. Their songs were airplayed on the radio in several countries such as Japan, USA, Germany, Chile, Ecuador, Bosnia & Herzegovina. And the CDs were favorably reviewed by a lot of webzines and magazines in Europe, Japan and North & South America. .... In 2005, Wizards’ Hymn came back to studio to work for their 1st album. “Hymnal” has been released by Black-listed record(in Japan) and Majestic Rock (worldwide). The album has a lot of good reputation on metal magazines and webzines. Especially, the band got very high score, 82 points in the review of “BURRN!” magazine which is the most famous heavy metal magazine in Japan and well-known for its bitterest criticism. In 2007, Wizards’ Hymn changed vocal to YuSa and Junichi Ohtsuka(Key) joined the band as a support member. Now recording for 2nd album is underway. It will be released in May 2008. .... .. .............. .. .. .. .. .. ........ ..Official Wizards' Hymn Website:.... ...... .. ........ ........ ...... ..Kensuke Imai..
