Jed Watts grew up in an area of the Appalachians known for its rich Bluegrass heritage and began playing acoustic guitar and writing songs at the age of 12. At 18, he moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee to attend MTSU, where he learned his way around the studio. Jed started learning the ropes of the business when he got the chance to intern at Lost Highway (UMG). He then began playing the bars and festivals with his band, Woodenwire. He was a player in the Music Mafia, and later, The Music Mafia Misfits which helped him develop his culturally diverse background. Josh has a song for every genre and occasion. His biggest influences are the Americana and Texas music scenes, Traditional Country, Bluegrass, and 90’s Rock bands. Whether it be around a campfire, garage, bar stage, or studio - his biggest passion is just making good music.
