My perfect day involves being a general curmudgeon, wearing tweed, drinking tea, drinking beer, eating spicy food, swimming in the ocean (don't ask how I am going to be wearing tweed and swimming in the ocean on the same day. Perhaps I have a private jet. Perhaps I really like air conditioning. Perhaps I have sewn a snazzy bathing suit made out of tweed. The mystery is part of what makes it such a perfect day.), reading, and being pretentious. So I guess you could say I am interested in all of those things.
Music
Folk rock. Celtic rock. Catchy ditties about the dearly departed. See: The Decemberists, The Pogues, Flogging Molly, Carbon Leaf, Sufjan Stevens, etc. In short: tell me a story, use fiddles, and never ever EVER mention a tractor. Also everything else, but if I had to take one musical genre to a desert island with me, it would involve fiddles. It would scare the cannibals away, if nothing else.
Movies
I love really bad movies and really good movies. Mediocre ones can go to hell. (Despite having taken a ton of film classes--though I use the term loosely--I also have a terrible head for movies, so I've probably seen it, but I won't recall it unless you ask me. Due to this a lot of my favorite films are pretentious and in other languages. Oops.)
Television
Arrested Development, The Office, Lost, 24, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, random funny stuff.
Books
Everything is Illuminated, Catch-22, Bound for Glory, The Crying of Lot 49, Lord of the Flies, Harry Potter, A Land as God Made It, Octavian Nothing, The Giver, anything by Stephen Fry or Sarah Vowell, Terry Pratchett's Discworld series...
Heroes
I'm a fan of both the Italian and the Turkey Club, but in a pinch I would take the Tuna as well.

I am, of course, terribly jealous of all my friends who got to meet the Queen of England and Tim "Make It Work" Gunn!
why do i know more about what's going down even in Leicester than in Richmond?? anyways, if i were in Leicester on April 25th, i'd be going to see The Screening at the Charlotte. one or two of the other bands sound alright too.
alas, i will be in Richmond on April 25th. where you goin? you goin nowhere.
Ha ha! i could imagine what face you'd make "OMG WTF?!" Hahaha! How funny is that video? I had to go back cuz i was like "wait? Is that Kirsten?" so i had to ask.

HAHAHA that was fantastic! So appropriate :) I truly thought I had a punctured pancreas/spleen/digestive organ last Monday. I knew it couldn't be the appendix because this pain was on my left side, just under my last rib. What a lunatic. But you know you love me, hypochondria and all. You haven't picked up any strange British ailments, I wonder?
Cocksuckers. (I came with the intentions of leaving you that comment, but I ended up listening to your whole song because I love that song!) By the way my mom is a huge fan of the Jessica Simpson heels. She is also glad that we had fun at the dinner fundraiser that we went to on Friday...
Hey guuuuurrrrrrrllllllll! I know you're home enjoying the peace and I don't blame you but If you're bored later you're welcome to come over to hang, have a few Coronitas and watch a movie. We can even drive to Studio Enigma just to check out their selection. Let me know!
