About me: The Wm.Penn fire Company began its service to the citizens of Hulmeville Boro in 1832. Sometime around the 1950's the department expanded it's territory in to Middletown Twp, and the Levittown sections in Bucks county, Pa. In 2007 the Wm. Penn Fire Company celebrated it's 175th anniversary. The department has owned several different pieces of apparatus over the year's which include a Seagrave(now in the Fire Museum of Maryland) 2 Ward Lafrance engines, 2 Piece/Dodge Attack unit's, and several other engine's. The Department still currently own's it's original Engine that is housed in Station 7.
The Wm. Penn Fire Company handles about 500 calls annually, between 2 stations. We currently run 3 engines, and 1 utility truck, a ice rescue sled, as well as a Chief, and Deputy/Duty Chief's vehicle. We have about 50 members, that serve the public and property of Hulmeville Boro and Middletown Township, as well as responde to mutal aid area's of Bensalem, Bristol, and Falls Townships.
