About me: Hi!! My name is Star!! I'm the official Mascot of the Atlanta Dream!! WOOOO!!!
I am Atlanta's newest and hippest Mascot, but I was just a twinkle in my mom's eye when my parents fell in love with Atlanta’s warm southern hospitality during a stop on their way south for the winter. As huge women’s basketball fans, they decided to stay in Atlanta on October 17, 2007 after hearing there would be a WNBA team in the city. They made their home in downtown Atlanta and watched the team prepare for its Inaugural Season. Their family was complete when I hatched on May 1, 2008 at Zoo Atlanta!
When my parents realized that I had inherited their love of basketball, they encouraged me to tryout to be the mascot for their hometown’s new team. Recognizing my passion for the sport, the Dream brought ME on to the team just in time for the Inaugural Season Home Opener on May 23, 2008!
You can find me throughout the community with Dream players at WNBA Cares events and celebrating birthdays with fans. My favorite place to be is at Atlanta Dream home games at Philips Arena! I love cheering on the team, inspiring future WNBA players, interacting with the crowd, entertaining fans and sharing the Dream with the city!
