The basic movements of the dance provide the perfect mix of isometric and isotonic resistance to shape our bodies without forming bulk muscle. Bellydance increases our endurance & strengthens our cardiovascular system with as much of a workout as any aerobics class. Our posture is improved which improves our overall health. Our joints and spine are nourished by the synovial fluid, thus resulting in less pain and stiffness from arthritis, and our bone density increases. You're welcome! It's always nice to meet other dancers! Yes, Leyla Jouvana is great! She's an incredible dancer/teacher, but also a very nice person. I'm planning on going to her festival this November again. Last year it totally rocked my world. :) And well...this year Aziza, Sharon Kihara and Jill Parker are coming...so that's really really really great!

Dancing with Props with Nedra beginner veil, cane, tray technique. Sunday June 21, 10am $30
learn the art of dancing with props & balancing! ! please bring a 3 yd veil, cane and tray if you have them. Nedra will be bringing a limited amount of canes and have some fancier Egyptian beaded & bottom wrapped ones for sale for $20 you will also get a chance to dance with shemadan and wings of Isis in this workshop which Nedra will provide.
snacks, coffee & water provided on site, if you are spending the day with us, please bring a lunch.
