Welcome to the WNYM Myspace page. We are the WNY Media Network, an on line news daily focused on social, political and economic issues in Buffalo and WNY...

If you love buffalo, wish you were still in Buffalo or are just freakin cool, then this is the place for you! Think of us as a radio station, TV station and daily newspaper all in one place!

We also like to have fun, disgrace Buffalo's political class, dissect the local mainstream media and cause PR headaches for those in power, so that's what we want to keep doing here!

We need your help! :-) Be sure to visit our homepage and tell all your friends to support us at WNYmedia.net

There you will find 30 daily contributors who are just like you! People that love our community and want to make it the best it can be. Our network is based in YOU media. That's right, you're the reporters. By utilizing citizen journalism, we offer you the chance to take back our city and region from those intent on destroying it. So were going to use this myspace to help you!

We invite all of our new myspace friends to post bulletins, stories, activist alerts, concert listings, shows, cool events, music, videos, etc... Anything you want people to see. Then we'll go back to our homepage at www.wnymedia.net and tell all of our non-Myspace firends what cool stuff you are doing in Buffalo and Western New York!
So help us help you myspace peeps! Join the New media revolution right in your own backyard!

While were at it, we are always looking for volunteers, writers, reporters, photographers, and anyone else who has a talent they are willing to share with us... email us at admin@wnymedia.net if you want to get involved!

    Later!

December 27 2008 at 9pm, you are cordially invited to the Rebel Radio Community Jam at Broadway Joe's in Buffalo NY.

All in attendance will receive a free copy of Rebel radio 45 the new double CD from DTR....DJ Anubus will be back in the house, Billy Drease will be hosting, and over a dozen acts will grace the stage.

Admission is free, we kindly ask that you bring a non-perishable food donation for Food Bank of WNY; and we will have plenty of contests and giveaways from New Era Caps, Scion, DTR45, Buffalo First and more!!!

    -----------------

In an industry short on creative marketing and sales figures, DTR45 has once again pushed the envelope, taking the already innovative Rebel Radio compilation series and doubling down on the effort. Rebel Radio 4, announced last month, will be joined simultaneously with Rebel Radio 5, a move which pays homage to the 12 year label’s recent re-brand from DeepThinka to DTR “45”.

This free two disc collection continues the Rebel Radio tradition of fighting back against the corporate “nickel and dime” measures that music consumers endure and at the same time works to develop a market for hip hop talents both large and small in recognition. The talent featured this time around is remarkable: from locally based artists like Edreys, Fresh Guac and Q-Boogie, to mainstream names like Blu, Camp Lo, Styles P, and Pete Rock.
