Sounds Like
Pre-midi times. Pure old school symphonic prog rock!
The band was formed in the idyllic Norwegian countryside, not too far from the great waterfalls of Hønefoss, in the spring of 1999 with a burning desire to create or perhaps recreate some of the musical expressions of the early seventies,-specially in the use of the instruments of that time and the somewhat "strange" compostions of the progressive rock scene from 1969 - 1974. In a few months the basic ideas for the demo and the full length album "Hinterland" was created.
There was a pause from 2001 to around 2003, when they figured it was too bad to let those old songs die without any proper recordings of'em. So the demo was recorded at Lars' studio, put out on the internet and they started living their own life. After a while it kind of took off..
Wobbler ended up signing a record deal with the US-label The Laser's Edge.
By now, Lars' vintage keyboard collection was getting out of hand, and the insane recording of Hinterland was about to begin in June 2004. There wasn't allowed to use any midi what-so-ever, and only pre-1975 instruments were applied (..ok, the rhodes' were from 1979).
After eight intense months of studio work the album was ready. The hype from the demo songs had now reached it's peak, and the expectations were sky-high. In July 2005 "Hinterland" was revealed at one of their rare live performances, at the Near-fest gig (there's a nearfest-dvd with one of the songs out for sale).
In April 2009, the band finally released the second album; "Afterglow" on Termo Records.
It contains a re-recording of the two old demos plus three other old songs from 1999.

Gargamel..s second album titled Descending is out now. Psychedelic artock/prog with stoner, space and desert rock flavours. Should appeal to fans of King Crimson, Anekdoten and Van der graaf Generator.
Thanks for the add and friendship. I really like your music. What a great sound!!! Life Line Project has a new release on September 16 called "The Finnishing Touch".
Dear Friends, Well, it's been six months since my abdominal surgery, and finally the music is starting to flow again. I've written two new songs "Bridge Of Shadows" and something a little different for me called "Looking Glass Man"...my first song using a Strat. I've never owned a Stratocaster before, was always a Les Paul guy (still am). But my wife promised me a new Strat if I just acted brave; and survived the surgery of course. I guessed the Fender would influence me in some "twangy way", but I never imagined it would be a Johhny Cash way, (not that I'm complaining, always kind of liked him). So if you get the chance, please stop by and give them a listen. All my very best to you, and thanks for being friends through some really tough times for me, Your friend, David
Takk for vennskapet vikinger! Greit musikk - så komplisert og intelligent!!! Er sangene tatt opp med ex-"FSB" mellotroner eller med annen teknikk? Jeg liker lyden dere har gjort!
