Wojna (Pronounced Voyna) was formed in Kent, England 2007 by vocalist, Composer and stand in drummer, Shadow who was immediately joined by Bass player and guitarist Dagon. Thanks to Dagon's extensive and wide spared experience in the music scene, the bands first Demo EP was released by the end of the month.
Due to the quality of this recording, it was limited to 5 copies and work on the forth coming full length Demo continued. In preparation for it's release a Myspace page was created which helped to spread the word when “left hand path” was unleashed in January 2008 and was handed out to just a few labels, friends and producers.
A full line up was born shortly after which survived for the following 5 months until all recently joined members were forced to leave due to circumstances beyond there control. Wojna continued as the 2 man out fit that it started as working on rerecording for a new release. In September 2008 “The Long Awaited Silence” was released on Wojna's exclusive D.I.Y label, Redleaf Records and distributed it to 18 different outlets. A new line up was formed which is some what still standing. However in December 2008 Dagon parted ways with the band due to internal issues. In 2009 Wojna realeed a split with Whorethorn which came out in September on Grim Being Records containing 3 new songs plus one from the album and a live rehearsal recording from last year. The band are as achtive as ever.
Intra Tenebrae is currently searching for UK Bands/Labels/zines interested in participating in a series of 8-way split releases showcasing the True UK underground, and of course I am interested in including you in this split. if you or any UK Band/Labels/zines you know are interested in helping out and taking part, please do not hesitate to contact me, this message is being passed on to several bands, please do not be offended if you see more or less the exact same message on the pages of other bands.
