Since 2003, Wolfchant successfully started to prove that the proverbial "Metal Hammer" is not just hanging in Scandinavia. Extreme metal mixed with timeless melodies, driving riffs coupled with epic parts and aggressive screams fading into chorale singing are the essential core, which defines Wolfchant to the listener.

Meanwhile, the quintet consisting of Lokhi, Skaahl, Norgahd, Derrmorh and Bahznar definitely belongs to the spearhead of German Viking / Pagan Metal. With their two studio albums "Bloody Tales Of Disgraced Lands" (CCP / SPV) and "A Pagan Storm" (CCP / SPV), they were able to gain a large listenership and celbrated numerous successes. They persuaded their supporters in both, reports in many different metal journals, in which their albums were highly praised and entered various reader's charts, and at frenetic acclaimed appearances on various club and festival shows in Europe, where they entered the stages with Ensiferum, Moonsorrow, Dark Funeral, Turisas, Unleashed, The Haunted, Obituary, Mayhem, Sodom or Entombed, just to name a few.

But that's not enough. Under the old saying „The only constant is change“ ,now comes the next big step.

"Determined Damnation" ( Massacre Records/ Soulfood ) - the name of the upcoming long player – will be a lot more varied, sophisticated and demanding than ever. The new silver will be forged in the Black Solaris Studio, together with the German metal icon Uwe Lulis. Various guest musicians from the metal scene, including Michael Seifert from Rebellion will give final touches to the album to fortify once more their place in the international metal scene, definitely!

Wolfchant will again convince the extreme metal listeners with their widened concept and will resolutely continue on pursuing their way!
