Born and raised in Oklahoma, don't look at the age - it is not correct. For many years, wolfdogs have taken over my life in a way that made me feel like I could really do something special. Although fostering is hard, you have to let go of them to a forever family, it is more than rewarding. To see them blossom and the happiness in the familys eyes is so gratifying.
I work full time at nights to be available to shelters during the day and use the income to support rescue. Trying to get my in town home ready to sell so I can move to some land where I can take in more that need to be adopted and give them safety and good health.
The picture is of The Choir, as we are in town and the nightly howl-in session is done inside with closed doors. It is the biggest reward I ever enjoyed. Only 2 of them remain here but there have been many others. The one in front is a low content giant malamute or Wakon malamute and a spoiled rotten brat child. He is now 3 going on 4 next spring. The shorter greyish boy is my 10 yr old who was in terrible condition when i got him - spoiled and independent now.

There is a hearing happening on October 1st, 2009, where Fish and Game will be trying to pass through a new legislation that will specifically authorize the officers and wardens to determine whether your pet is a regulated species **without the burden of proof**, and require the application of the “most protective” standard.
They can confiscate and KILL your pet if this legislation passes!
State hearings on October 1, 2009 could eliminate due process and allow officers to seize (and kill) pets if they “look” related to a wild animal.
