Books
Life long favs, Bible(and other sacred texts), Betty Crocker cookbook (life changing!) Also, Taking Root to Fly by Irene Dowd, The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron, Exploring Meditation by Dr. Susan J. Schumsky, Grandmother's Secrets by Rosina-Fawzia Al-Rawi, and (naturally) Women Who Run With Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Ph.D. I like encyclopedias, reference books, dictionaries, a good thesaurus, periodicals like Yoga Journal, and Countryside and Livestock Journal. Books, real books, i love, too, and i have hundreds that my husband will have to pry from my cold, dead fingers, even if i never will read them. But I always hope. I have trouble reading lots because i fall asleep. The good news about that is if i got through the entire book, it's guaranteed to be a good read.
Heroes
Or people i think of as being heroic--Black Elk, Crazy Horse, Jesus of Nazareth, Isis, Sophia, Buddhah, Kalil Gibran, Buffy St. Marie, Mother Theresa, Princess Diana, Ghandi, Dahli Lama, that girl that started the Green Party over in Germany, George Clinton, Jerry Garcia, People who ran the Underground Railroad, People who hid Jews and other "enemies" of the Nazi Party. My Grandfathers. My Grandmothers. Wanda Jackson (the first woman to ever play and sing rock'n'roll). Tommy Chong. by punk girl

Your life is guided by the concept of Existentialism: You choose the meaning and purpose of your life.
“Man is condemned to be free; because once thrown into the world, he is responsible for everything he does.”
“It is up to you to give [life] a meaning.”
--Jean-Paul Sartre
“It is man's natural sickness to believe that he possesses the Truth.”
--Blaise Pascal
