Well apart from the band, we are sometimes accompanied by a Junior side made up of members own children, who wear identical kit to the adults, but dance in mixed sets
What We Do
Since 1995 we have appeared all over the UK at Folk Festivals, Arts Festivals, Village/School Fetes, Local community events, Weddings, Pagan/New Age conferences and will consider all invites big, small, conventional, or just plain WiErD.
As a result of this policy we have been able to perform in on or near everything from STONEHENGE to TELEVISION!
We also offer one of our well attended MORRIS WORKSHOPS where we often take people from merely having a go to getting CREATIVE. Far more fun than orienteering in the rain as TEAM BUILDING exercises go!

Currently the Wolf's Head and Vixen Band might feature;
Electric Mandolin, Button Accordian, Fiddle, Penny Whistles, Recorders, Tuba, Guitars, Hurdy Gurdies, Turkish drum, Rope-tensioned Drums and Percussion.
The band on the best selling 'Eudaimonia' CD featured Northumbrian Half-long Bag Pipes, Melodian, Penny Whistle, Bass Guitar, Rope Tensioned Drum and Percussion.

We are now in formal 'Practice Season' in order to make ready for May Morning 2009.
Unless we are dancing out: WEEKLY practice is in the Back Bar of THE GOOD INTENT, John Street, ROCHESTER on WEDNESDAY evening's from 7.15pm.
We also practice on the Second and Fourth SUNDAY of the month, 12-3pm also at the GOOD INTENT. A MUSICIANS practice is held on the First SUNDAY of the month. Sundays can sometimes be subject to change, so please check with us before making a long journey!Being in a pub, these are OPEN PRACTICE'S, so anyone is welcome to attend, either to talk about joining or even just to watch.

Huge Pre-Stonehenge Complex Found via "Crop Circles" James Owen in London for National Geographic News June 15, 2009 Given away by strange, crop circle-like formations seen from the air, a huge prehistoric ceremonial complex discovered in southern England has taken archaeologists by surprise.
A thousand years older than nearby Stonehenge, the site includes the remains of wooden temples and two massive, 6,000-year-old tombs that are among "Britain's first architecture," according to archaeologist Helen Wickstead, leader of the Damerham Archaeology Project.
For such a site to have lain hidden for so long is "completely amazing," said Wickstead, of Kingston University in London.
Archaeologist Joshua Pollard, who was not involved in the find, agreed. The discovery is "remarkable," he said, given the decades of intense archaeological attention to the greater Stonehenge region.
"I think everybody assumed such monument complexes were known about or had already been discovered," added Pollard, a co-leader of the Stonehenge Riverside Project, which is funded in part by the National Geographic Society. (The National Geographic Society owns National Geographic News.)
