Steve “Wolf” Crescenze began playing bass with various bands in the DC area during the garage band era of the 60s, most notably with Sassafras Tea. More recently, he has been seen onstage performing with Pinetop Perkins, Guitar Shorty, Zac Harmon, Tab Benoit, Steve Riley, Ruby Hayes, Memphis Gold, Daryl Davis, Linwood Taylor, Nadine Rae, Clarence “The Bluesman” Turner, The Big Boy Little Band with Bret Littlehales and Rusty Bogart, Lisa Lim, Wave Milor, Mike Westcott of Blues on Board, The Skyla Burrell Band, Hot Rods & Old Gas, The Idle Americans, ACME Blues Company, One Bad Jack and DrMove. Presently, besides gigging with his regular projects, he hosts numerous blues jams in the Northern Virginia, DC and Southern Maryland areas.

Besides music, over the years, Wolf’s interests include building, painting and driving street rods and custom motorcycles. He is also considered one of the top carousel restoration artists in the country, having restored over 400 figures. www.carouselrestorations.com He has a large Coca-Cola and country store memorabilia collection, as well as an ever-growing collection of left-handed Fender basses. Blues jams - great blues, great way to connect with fellow musicians & blues lovers, great dance music! As Wolf likes to paraphrase Forest Gump, "Blues jams are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get or WHO's going to show up!" Sometimes traveling musicians and even national acts stop by to jam including Grammy Nominees Tab Benoit and Steve Riley who came by and jammed with Wolf after their Wolf Trap performances!
