Like their heroes Social Distortion and The Clash, Buffalo, New York’s own Wolf Tickets play thinking man’s punk rock at unacceptable volumes with unwavering conviction. Not a band to follow trends or fads, Wolf Tickets play a pure form of classic punk that aligns itself with straightforward rock'n'roll first and foremost. To keep things interesting the band occasionally infuses its own form of reggae and ska rhythms to the mix which reflect the members love of authentic Jamaican music. Born in 1992, Wolf Tickets is led by singer/songwriter/guitarist Chris Malachowski, den mother of the hugely popular Joe Strummer Benefit & Tribute held annually at The Mohawk Place in downtown Buffalo (Chris also gives his time as a fervent volunteer for Strummerville). The bands finest lineup to date is rounded out by two former members of The Razzels, Russ Bickert on drums and Mike “Pooh Bear” Snyder on bass and Mike Leahy on lead guitar.
This most recent line-up is making heads turn on the upstate punk scene, and have very recently shared the stage with such esteemed bands as Rancid, The Street Dogs, The Aggrolites, Time Again, Murphy's Law, The Supersuckers, The Briggs, Westbound Train and Bedouin Soundclash.
