There's a certain beauty in mystery... then again, there's a certain frustration in it as well... meanwhile please enjoy the diversionary tactics below... or are they? *bwwaaa haaa haaa haaa haaaaaaaaaaaaa*
Music
Pretty much ALL... well.. mostly...
Movies
The range is wide and varied and spec-tac-u-lar!!!! almost grande canyon-esc!!!!! only without the feelings of in-significance and breath-taking awe :P I dunno?
Television
I admit to watching a little tv [not size wise, just quantity wise] here and there, but mostly? I watch not much.
Books
LOVE to read..books yes... but not JUST books. I also catch myself reading magazines, newspapers, directions, dictionaries, telephone directories, stop signs-actually, most road signs if we're honest[except the ones with pictures, technically that's not reading, that's just viewing right?], warning labels, cereal boxes, warning labels ON cereal boxes, all of it man...all of it. *dizzy sensation takes over* Seriously I ADORE reading nearly most subjects.[NOT MATHS THOUGH! Ahem!] :P
Heroes
Personally? I prefer to call them 'Subs', but to each their own. You wanna call them 'Heroes'? No prob by me. ;)

Yes that's it! That kind of naked..um.. so anyway.. happy reality building to you!

Who I'd like to meet: 1-Rags To Riches, Zenyatta, and/or Rachel - The TRIFECTA! even if she[they] takes a swipe at me, I am cool with it! bitten by greatness... aaahhh *blissful sigh* [I bet they think I am joking] although you know? I'd prefer just the swipe. 2-Godzilla [rubber suit version of course. The fact that he is even on the list should scare you people off.] 3a-Luci the cat looks cool to meet?! I'm hungry. [Those two things are NOT related. I just realized my pang, is all] 3b-Maya the pup, that's a given. 4-Do certain other horses count? *cough* SMARTY! 5-Some y'all *platonic winkage* ..well SOME. :P 6-Tammy the Sammy and all those other smiley peeps! Plus Monty sounds adorable! aawwww I can't name them all because then there'd be 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d, and so forth, ya know? 7-Archimedes ... even though MATH is not my forte'? that would be amazing! just imagine that one could have never ending discussions w/ Archimedes! and better yet? one could just shut up and watch and learn since one [well THIS one] is fascinated with mechanics and creation ... yah.. Archimedes would be fantastic to meet! 8-hmmm..well, just anybody genuine. *shrug* they DON'T have to be exactly like me or agree 100% or even like to dress ponies in girl clothes at all, but genuine goes a long way.
THE END - for now :)
Hi WolfyWoman, i will drop by tomorrow to wish you and yours a happy Thanksgiving, and yes please, a piece of virtual pie would be luverlyyyyy!!! I'm off now to the hospital to get my Xrays done... love n hugs from me and the furry family xoxoxo
Wolfy! So sorry to hear you had to have unexpected oral surgery...sending you the very best of good wishes and lots of healing energy my dear friend. Hopefully this will all be for the best in the long run. Take good care of yourself hun.
Oh, pazienza is a good thing! It simply means patience. Italians say it a lot, when things are not going exactly to plan, which is often, lol!
I have another session with my wonderful chiropractor tomorrow. Hopefully both you and i are on the road to recovery from our bodily challenges!
Have I mentioned how much I treasure this cyber-friendship? If not, bad me! I soooo wish you all were closer so we could share coffee, stories and pillow fights. U da bomb, Woofy! Oops... Wolfy!
No, il bagno non e' finito! (No, the bathroom is not finished!) They haven't even begun yet!!! no idea why, where, what or who! They came last week to replace my attic window (did i tell you about being showered in broken glass and miraculously escaping with nary a scratch?) but no-one has appeared as planned to do bathroom. Pazienza!!!!!
Went to the chiropractor yesterday, lots wrong so it'll be an ongoing process. Currently housebound, only able to hobble slowly. (Bet you wish you'd never asked!) Apart from the excruciating pain, i feel so sad for my doggies who aren't getting any exercise... poor babies. They're used to at least 2 hours a day free running, but i'll make it up to them.
Thinking of you hun, sending love and butterscotch and beautiful rock pools ;)
hahaaaa well i have to say that's an American thing! Here in good ol' Blighty peeps don't wish each other a great/fantastic/wonderful weekend - unless of course the person is planning a special celebration or is off on holiday to the Seychelles or something! I certainly won't be doing much - still in a lot of pain with severe sciatica, walking is torture so I'm seeing the chiropractor next week.
Today was supposed to see the start of my long-awaited bathroom re-fit, but surprise surprise nobody turned up or phoned. Hopefully they will get cracking on it next week, but who knows??? grrrrrrrrrrr
I hope you and your sis have some beach time together over the w/e. Have a good one Wolfums xoxoxoxo
Totally understand hun. Spending many hours online can become very draining. I have a love/hate relationship at times with my lil laptop - we're always breaking up and making up! As well, i guess it's good that you're so busy?? But exhausting, for sure. I hope you're getting enough "me time"? Yes, Rosa Bonheur seemes like she was a fascinating woman as well as a wonderful painter of animals. Whether or not she was a lesbian seems debatable...i hope she was - we need our gay icons! We've had several days of lovely mellow sunshine here - better late than never, after our terrible summer. I just wish it wasn't nearly October...(my worst month...) Tooth is now A1 thanks. It's all the rest of my body that's falling apart, lol! lots of love to you always xx
Smiling today cos i got a broken tooth fixed! Not smiling today cos this damn sciatica and arthritis is driving me bonkers!! So how are you, dear Wolfy? And how's that lovely sister of yours? I'm looking forward to hearing your news, including of course all about your recent art work :) *hugs*
hey Wolfy, have you ever heard of the painter Rosa Bonheur? (1822 - 1899). Apparent;y she was one of the 19th cntury's foremost animal painters and through reproductions her work was widely known across Europe and North America. She was probably a lesbian, wore "men's clothes" at a time when women "didn't", and is now considered a gay icon. I just learnt all this today! xx
God give us rain when we expect sun. Give us music when we expect trouble. Give us tears when we expect breakfast. Give us dreams when we expect a storm. Give us a stray dog when we expect congratulations. God play with us, turn us sideways and around.
Dolphins? How magical! We see them here too sometimes, an entire pod making their way around the headland - although i haven't spotted them this year.
Oh Wolfy, things are worse rather than better...but i hate to moan when everyone has their problems and we all just have to get by the best we can and learn from the challenges. Yep. trying to do that.
*hugs* and many thoughts of you my lovely friend :)
I'm watching Turner Classic TV. Great show. B & W. The man is in black tie and white gloves, the woman in an evening gown. Long staircase (why do all good movies have long staircases?) She shoots him. I missed the first part. Remember the Erma Desmond movie. Now that was a cool old movie.
