"Wow! This weekend's band is AMAZING! I cannot believe that I've never heard about them before. Wolfy is an Indie/Pop band from Indy, with incredible commercial radio potential." -Kelly McKay, DJ for WZPL 99.5 Indianapolis
Lush string arrangements; a flare for the exotic; a symphonic scope.
These are elements most would not expect could be paired with
hook-driven piano rock - most, except for Wolfy.
Wolfy exhibits a refined quality that is uniquely mature, especially
given their relatively short time together. Their quickly growing
repertoire are solid examples of catchy pop hooks and strong musical
craftsmanship. To an already rocking sound comprised of crashing keys,
in-the-pocket bass and driving drums, Wolfy adds flourishing strings,
sweeping synthscapes and dulcet vocal melodies to round it all out.
This small trio has a really big sound.
First glance comparisons to the piano-driven rock of Coldplay, the
sweet melodic sensibility of Keane, and the solid basslines of U2
abound - yet nevertheless, Wolfy demonstrates a creative and developed
sound that is entirely their own.
haha thanks for writing in my truth box but i totally do have comments. I have the nifty little comment box BUT thanks for adding me lol you guys rock!
So, I was thinking earlier, and totally remembered the Goo Goo Dolls concert last year that I saw you at. You guys were soo great! Hope to see you again soon :]
Actually very randomly. I used to bartend at Stonecreek in Plainfield and you performed at the Metropolis Mall which no one was at (too bad for everyone else). It was pouring rain and you guys rocked it out. Plus somebody likes goat cheese according to the lead singer. How could I not be your friend?
Thanks for the add! I went to the Goo Goo Dolls concert in the fort last year and I saw you guys :D I think i told the lead singer i liked his shirt if i remember right :)
I hate myspace! Two lurvely comments are now lost in cyberspace because myspace is evil! How sad. :( Now I am too bored of typing the same thing to write down what I meant to. Which means my great talent is cast onto the winds. *giggles in spite of self* Oh well, I'm too verbose not to comment what I meant to comment. The gist of what I was saying was that I had a random I-miss-Wolfy moment today. Hmm, all of a sudden I had a horrible suspician that myspace is playing tricks on me and that y'all are actually getting ALL of these comments (which would be 3 total) and so I'll look like the slightly-inept person I am. ;) Anyways, much lurve and all of that. Hugs!
thanks for the hugs! if you're playing July 11, early enough, I'll definitely be there, because I'll be in town to see Rocky Horror that night. :) update your tour dates! sillies!
I may try that next time here, but you know, the price of cheese is getting higher and higher here... So sad... And you know what, we can barely get a bar of butter from supermarket!! I haven't seen any butter for weekes....it's ridiculous!!
Sup guys, just wanted to show some love! still loving the music. dont forget about your original fan ;) i was with you guys since '04 to when you made the switch from your old myspace to this one back in '06 ;) peace, love, dont change!! keep it real.
Heard you guys at the Independent festival 2 years ago and still tearing up your first EP. ;)
I've joined my college's radio station and often play the music over the "e-waves" (...it's internet radio.) But that means people overseas could be enjoying your music as much as I do :D
Hope your music is going well, see you at the fest in June!
