Welcome to the official site for Wolven Ancestry, being hailed by many as Canadas leading Unsigned black metal act. Blending elements from the entire spectrum of black metal, including melodic and folk elements, Wolven Ancestry has performed with many of the industries leading bands including Mayhem, Behemoth, Sigh, Impaled Nazarene, 1349, Ensiferum, Moonsorrow, Goatwhore, Nachtmystium, Kalmah, Emeth, Cryptopsy, Averse Sefira, Skinless and many more great bands. Wolven Ancestry continues to grow and will continue to spread the hymns of nature, pagan ideology and the true spirit of Canadian Black Metal. New album entitled "The Silence of the Boreal" will be released Summer of 2009. Official release date coming soon!

Scandinavian Folk Metal at a new level, there are no real comparisons between Irminsul and other bands - Irminsul is unique. This is a journey into swedish foklore and nature. The album is completely in their mother tongue but it is one of the great albums that non-swedish-speakers need not to understand, to truly understand it.
