REDDITCH RAVENS took the honours in a fiercely contested match, gaining their first league win over WOLVERHAMPTON WIZARDS with a 28-16 success. Defences dominated the first half, although Redditch had more of the ball and were held up twice with the line begging.
John Hanna finally made the breakthrough but the effort put in by Wizards told in the second half as Redditch were able to find more space. Despite a strong effort from Chris Jones, two tries in quick succession by Sean Flynn and Paul Heywood put the Ravens out of sight.
