Writing, both fiction and non-fiction, rooting for the New York Mets, cheering for the New York Jets, going to the movies, seeing Broadway shows, walking around Manhattan, politics, and going to museums. My favorite artists are Edward Hopper and John Singer Sargent. Being a big sports fan, I also like listening to the Michael Kay Show every afternoon on ESPN Radio. Kay really knows sports. I also love listening to him joke around with his co-stars, Don LaGreca, Joey Salvia, and Bonnie Bernstein.
Music
Alicia Keys, Norah Jones, John Mayer, the Beatles, Billy Joel, Linda Ronstadt, Laura Nyro, Broadway show tunes, Elton John, Eclectic Mess, the Montgomery Cliffs, and Joey Salvia. Salvia, a radio personality here in New York, is a talented singer-songwriter. I'm grateful to him because he plugged my newspaper on the radio a couple of years ago. Thanks again Joey! By the way, he has a fabulous new CD called "Long Lost Weekend."
Movies
Casablanca, Citizen Kane, The Sound Of Music, As Good As It Gets, Field Of Dreams, In America, Amelie, Pride and Prejudice, The Devil Wears Prada, Hannah And Her Sisters, In Her Shoes, Sleepless In Seattle, Moonstruck, Titanic, and Mamma Mia.
Television
Lost, Morning Joe, Food Network shows like 30-Minute Meals and Semi-Homemade, and Washington Week In Review.
Books
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, Then She Found Me by Elinor Lipman, John Adams by David McCullough, No Ordinary Time by Doris Kearns Goodwin, The Best Seat In The House by Christine Brennan, Cooking For Mr. Latte by Amanda Hesser, Longitudes and Attitudes by Thomas L. Friedman, and Reeling by Pauline Kael because she was the best movie critic ever. I like to read anything by Julia Reed, a talented writer for Newsweek. And I love the work of Peggy Noonan of the Wall Street Journal, even though I do not agree with her politically.
Heroes
Jesus Christ, my dad, and my late mom. All three inspire me. I also admire Diane Keaton. She marches to the beat of a different drummer and I respect her for it.

Fall Myspace Layouts by LayoutsForFall.com
Hi! Thank you for visiting my page. Here's a little bit about me: I'm on MySpace to meet new people. I live in Brooklyn and I'm single. I would love to meet a nice man to marry, but the chemistry has to be right. I always try to make each day better than the day before. I'm a reporter for two weekly newspapers that cover neighborhoods in Brooklyn. I cover all sorts of stories, everything from community board meetings to the police blotter to features about interesting local people. I love my job. I love my family and I cherish my friends. They're wonderful and I'm lucky to have such great people in my life. I'm very, very shy. That may seem like a strange thing for a newspaper reporter to say, but it's the truth. If you take the time to get to know me, you'll find that I'm a nice person, a good listener, and a loyal friend. I'm a big dreamer and I think it's important to have dreams for your life. Thanks again for stopping by and have a great day!
Who I'd like to meet: George Clooney, who really is the sexiest man alive! Kevin Costner. He's another great looking guy. Billy Joel. Even though he is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, I still think of him as a working class guy. Maureen Dowd of the New York Times, who I think is the best political columnist in the country. And Thomas L. Friedman of the New York Times because I think he's the best newspaper columnist in the country on any subject. I also hope to someday meet the person who discovers the cure to cancer.

You too Paula, Wow, I don't know. I've got a couple of projects going on now that will keep me busy through the next couple of months. If I do decide, I may do an e-book. We;ll see. I've been thinking about interviewing you for my writer's blog. Would you be interested in something like that? let me know. It probably wouldn't be for another month or so. Right now all I wanna do is sleep :)
I am supposed to pick 12 women (who have touched my life) and whom I think would want to participate. I think that if this group of women were ever to be in a room together, there is nothing that would be impossible. I hope I chose the right twelve. My hugs, love, gestures and communications hopefully remind you how special that you are. Please send this back to me.
Remember to make a wish before you read the prayer. That's all you have to do. There is nothing attached. Just send this to twelve people and let me know what happens on the fourth day. Sorry you have to forward the message, but try not to break this, please. Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive. Did you make a wish yet? If you don't make a wish, it won't come true. This is your last chance to make a wish!
'May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.'
Now, send this to 12 women within the next 5 minutes. And remember to send this back. I count as 1...you'll see why. Suggestion: copy and paste rather than forwarding it.
