Miriam Schmeariam 's Interests
General
Grrrr, I sometimes get in bad moods.
MIRIAM SCHMEARIAM'S TV SUGGESTIONS
Go out and buy all the seasons of "Family Guy" and "American Dad!" 'Nuff said.
BACK TO MIRIAM SCHMEARIAM'S INTERESTS
Sporks, cheese, toast, hot coffee, live music, poker, ballet, belly dancing, Star Trek, Star Wars (except for Jar Jar Binks and the movie's dialogue of which both are so very dismal), ice hockey, curling, beer, whiskey and/or bourbons, nuts, crossword puzzles, pool (I suck, but I'm getting better), German food (Basque, Afghan and Japanese food is darn good, too), Spanish tapas, blood oranges, Asian pears, traveling, gargoyles, cold/windy SF beaches . . .
Hmmmm, what else do I find interesting?. . . .Sci fi, nanotechnology, puffy white clouds, miniatures, witchcraft, enchantments, curses, trivia, haunted houses, ghosts, more paranormal stuff, astrology, Chinese astrology and tarot cards.
Music
Radiohead, the opera Die Fledermaus, Tool, Eels, Beatles, Kyruss, Dead Meadow, Flaming Lips, The Fancy Dan Band, Fancy Dan, Powell St. Station, Michael Loebs, Dave G, Rebecca X Cross, MetaBear, The Dandelion War, Nutarah, JJ Schultz, the JJ Schultz Band, The Morning Benders, The Attachments, The Hooks, BLAMMOS, Stephen Thomson, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Dwight Yoakam, Alabama, Blonde Redhead, Nirvana,.. Metal, Psychedelic, Country, and Space Static -no, seriously. I really like space static.
Movies
A Clockwork Orange, Ichi the Killer, Six String Samurai, My Neighbour Totoro, The God Father (I and II), October Sky, Evil Roy Slade, The Spirit is Willing, Atonement, Spirited Away, Matador (1986), the Year of Living Dangerously, Bottle Rocket, Battle Royale, Pulse, The Longest Day, Wild Napalm, Forget Paris, The Devil's Rejects, Full Metal Jacket, Natural Born Killers, Promise Her Anything, A Thin Red Line, Chronicles of Riddick, The Producers, Donnie Darko, the Good, the Bad and the Ugly, 2046, Heavenly Creatures, Diva, Horror (especially Hammer Films), Sci Fi, Action, Westerns, Indie, David Lynch, Alfred Hitchcock, and Sergio Leone.
Television
Hockey games (Hockey Night in Canada), Deutsche Welle, DW's Journal, DW-TV's EuroMaxx, Stargate SG1, Farscape, Babylon 5, and almost anything Star Trek, Family Guy -I like that they sometimes put snippets of Conway Twitty in their show. The Simpsons, American Dad, The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, Aqua Teens, Arrested Development, Robot Chicken, Happy Tree Friends (you know, I really have a sick, disturbing mind, but I find solace that I'm not the only one ... but I only watch this show on my computer, not my tv), SCTV, Sealab 2021, and South Park.
Books
My favourite A. A. Milne character is Eeyore. But I prefer the non-Disney one.
They Shoot Canoes Don't They?, Blindness, Dante's Divine Comedy, The Little Prince, the Straight Dope, Maus a Survivor's Tale: My Father Bleeds History, the Onion Newspaper, the Wall Street Journal, the Loin's Mouth (because I live in 'Da Loin'), Paradise Lost, Chaucer, Dickens, Waiting for Godot, Shakespeare, The Zombie Survival Guide (Complete Protection from the Living Dead), Moon is a Harsh Mistress, Tropic of Cancer, Stranger in a Strange Land, Steinbeck, Hemingway, Tao of Pooh, Te of Piglet, Tale of Genji, Woman in the Dunes, Ian McEwan, J.R. Rowlings, short stories and haiku.
I'm a cell phone photographer and someday, if I wish hard enough, I'll get a real camera and then all my pictures will come out clear. . . yeah, sure and I'll finally get that darn pony I've always wanted.
What I like doing is to go out (or stay at home) and watch films, I make up words, listen to a variety of music, read a whole buncha buncha, hang out at the Hotel Utah's Open Mic and I complain. . . A LOT. I have a fear of looking up (seriously, I do), a fear of watermelons (go ahead and laugh), and I have a fear of flying/heights. I love walking around San Francisco. Up hills, down hills, to here, over there and back again.
As for what do I look like? Check out my pics. I have short dark brown hair, brown (though slightly crossed) eyes, and I'm as pale as the underbelly of a beluga whale.
I have a very dark/sick/odd sense of humour. I do like trivia, board games, rummaging through music shops, secondhand stores, and bookstores -I can't go in a bookstore without buying at least one book.
I'm also a bit eccentric . . .but just a bit. . . actually, it's my left toe, my right pinky finger and my left eye ball.
Who I'd like to meet: I'd like to meet music loving, adventurous, sharp folks with sarcastic wit and fast comebacks. Maybe they'll have an extensive cd and dvd/video collection?
I keep company with a lot skilled musicians. How the hell did I get to know them? Another thing, why haven't they set fire to my apartment building? . . . . . .like that old tootsie pop commercial says . . . "The world may never know".
I have 227 victims, . . . I mean FRIENDS, FRIENDS, . . . yeah, that's it. Okay, sure. . . some of my friends are ZOMBIES, but they're quite pleasant actually.
if depression were to take on human form, i'd give it a big sock in the gut! i think you're just wonderful. it's cool to see you buzzing around in the scene, helping people plug in a venues and the likes. c u soon
