Womb Records is a small independent label originally set up to promote the music of LISTEN WITH SARAH. We are expanding our repertoire with a series of releases from other artists. We are dedicated to variety.

New Releases:

CODEX MACHINE, "Man vs Monkey EP" - 12" ep by London electronics trio, Ms Codex, Dellamorte, & Speednik:

Released on 1st July 2007.

LISTEN WITH SARAH, "Are You Sitting Comfortably?" - we are now re-releasing the LWS debut album in digital-only format. This is a 13-track download album with all the original tunes except "Animal Hop"** Available now from iTunes, Napster and various digital outlets.

**"Animal Hop" was the subject of copyright issues and legal threats which, in 2005, led to the withdrawal from sale of the original CD.

Recent Releases:

The first release this year was a CD album by the remarkable ERGO PHIZMIZ, "Nose Points In Different Directions" WOMB103, and is a collection of his work from the last five years.

The 'Nose' CD comes in a beautiful purple and yellow digipack with matching booklet. Original artwork by Ergo Phizmiz.

"Arff & Beef" WOMB104, a cdr release of 100, also by Ergo Phizmiz, has now sold out.

Forthcoming releases:

The "ANIMAL HOP" Remix CD - a collection of remixes of Listen With Sarah's *copywrong* tune, "Animal Hop", by various artists including Codex Machine, Ergo Phizmiz, Naing Naing, Vernon LeNoir, Dishpig, Pappy, Geraint Ffrancon, Casio Headbutt, Same Actor...

Expected release date 2008.

Suddenly his lonely world is invaded by an army of toasters, kettles, malfunctioning Turing machines determined to make music, and an army of Gamelan instruments falling uncomfortably from the sky. Initially uncomfortable with the intrusion, the big sad singing man eventually settles into a kind of unity with his invaders, and every night they sing together until the sun comes up. This is what I presume Tep has recorded, using only the best field-recording equipment, for this new release on Proot. The bee and bear on the cover are, as far as I know, the arch-nemesi (if "nemesi" is the plural of "nemesis", because it certainly isn't "nemesises") of the big singing man, on a mission to halt the barmy-mechanical-sphere-music on offer here - let us hope they never succeed, trapped, as they are, within a JPEG." On the fringes of the UK antifolk scene. Unpredictable and surprising. Some of the falsetto vocals made me spill my earl grey. Uke's your bad influence uncle who'll get you on the cider and then get his guitar out to corrupt you even more. Refreshing.
