About me:

There is more than one way to help a woman in need. Our Fall Matching campaign has been extended through November 15! Your donation will be matched dollar for dollar to up to $150,000. Your gift will help fund projects like the construction of new Women’ Opportunity Centers (WOC) that will give women a safe environment where they can obtain skills to help them rebuild their lives.

Women for Women International supports women in war-torn regions with financial and emotional aid, job-skills training, rights education and small business assistance so they can rebuild their lives. Across the globe, armed conflicts have reached an unprecedented number. Ninety percent of those injured or killed in today’s conflicts are civilians, 75 percent of whom are women and children. As never before, women are forced to bear the burdens of war.

    I encourage you to support the campaign to incorporate a comprehensive study of racism into the American academic system, and make it a prerequisite for graduation; by writing your local and state representatives, the dept. of education in your state, and also by writing to the Attorney General at the US Justice Department, and President Barack Obama expressing your endorsement of this endeavor.
