About me: This is run by the directors of the WONC FM 89.1 Promotions Department. We, as a station, would obviously not exist if it was not for music. We are constantly looking for bands to play shows with us on the campus of North Central College in Naperville. As a student run, non-for-profit, commercial free station we do not have the funds to pay our artists, but we offer a lot in the form of publicity in return, including on-air interviews, on-air studio performances, merch and/or ticket giveaways, ect. Ideally, we like bands to get the maximum amount of exposure for their efforts so we work with each individually to set up a show in conjunction with other events they have in the area, so the artists can promote themselves directly prior to their other events.
If you are interested in getting your band some exposure or know someone that needs the exposure, feel free to contact us. wonc_promo@wonc.org
We also do live broadcast remotes for a nominal fee. If your business is looking for a way to pull in extra people, or just more exposure within the community, again feel free to get in touch!
Who I'd like to meet: If your band is in need of some extra exposure, you have the time and you're in the area, then we want to meet you! We are always looking for great acts that would like free publicity through our radio station as well as playing a nice coffee house through our Thursday night concert series.
