Wonderful life consists of two friends who met in a piano shop,which Steve worked at.On one occasion Matt decided to start singing in the shop,and Steve remarked “I didn’t know you could sing?”,and Matt replied “Can i?”
And so the band was formed.Firstly to do cover versions,which these songs were going to be ready in two weeks???? – but together they found that they shared an interest in electronic music.So they began writing some material together.
Originally called ‘Colors’ (spelt the American way because they believed this would help them) they decided to change their name to ‘Wonderful life’ (after a long list was rejected by their always undecided minds) after the Black song ‘Wonderful life’.
They both agreed it didn’t fit in with any of their songs,so it was a perfect name.
Both are from Tamworth in the midlands,but they don’t just gig there.Infact Wonderful life have gigged all over the UK,by organising special nights for electronic music called ‘Electronic Pleasure’.
Just to recall one infamous night where Steve decided to pull out some cables from a PA system without checking with the sound engineer if the system was turned down…BOOM!!!,luckily the rest of the gig continued with no other glitches.
Their music has been described as being ‘bittersweet’ with the lyrics,to which Matt replies “I know,I can’t help it”.And ‘electropop perfection’ with their music.They have been described as a cross between Erasure and Pet Shop Boys,though a little bit darker.
2009 sees their first release, the ‘Wonderful life EP’.It’s a collection of four songs and a bonus remix track of ‘With you in mind’(Transient mix),this track was remixed by Wonderful life themselves.
These songs were chosen by Wonderful life because of audience reactions when performing live,and because of internet,and radio stations playing them.They have been broadcast from the UK and Canada.So to now have these available for fans to own is something Wonderful life are very proud of.

Grund dieses Treffens ist kein geringerer, als die nunmehr sechste Release unseres kleinen aber feinen Labels zu feiern. Diese steht ganz im Zeichen eines Musikers aus Leidenschaft, CHARLES TONE ! Vielen von Euch bekannt von unzähligen, denkwürdigen Festen in und um Berlin. Anfang Dezember`09 wird seine 4-Track-Ep in nahezu allen Downloadshops dieser Erde zur Verfügung stehen. Doch solange müsst Ihr nicht warten, denn die ersten 50 Gäste dieses Abends erhalten als Gastgeschenk eine CD mit allen bisherigen Releases von Spule-Berlin und eben dieser, welche bis dato noch nicht im Handel erhältlich sein wird.
