Located at 2712 Portage Street (2 miles north of I-94) in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Wonderful's Funky Basement has been Kalamazoo's Home of the Blues for the past 15 years and counting. Wonderful's offers live blues Thursday through Sunday nights with doors opening at 8:00 p.m. and music starting at 9:00 p.m. We are proud to feature local music and offer musicians a place to play.

On Thursday nights, the longest continually running Blues Jam in the country is hosted by Kalamazoo's own Out of Favor Boys with only a $3.00 cover charge.

The weekends feature local, regional, and national acts. Check our calendar to see upcoming shows.

On Sunday nights, we jam again and the Jam is hosted by Johnny C. There is no cover charge on Sunday.

Our stage has been graced by the likes of Tab Benoit, Renee Austin, Big Jack Johnson, Carl Weathersby, Lil Ed Williams, Duke Tumatoe, Tommy Castro, Anthony Gomes, Magic Slim, Howard and the White Boys and many, many more. There have been several celebrity/musician sightings at Wonderful's - you never know who might show up or when! Come on down to the Funky Basement and join the fun!
