Interests

  • Music

Ooo!This is definitley where we differ the most, although for the most part we're in the mood for the same thing. Brent prefers acoustic and laid back music. His favorite bands include U2, Caedmon's Call, Coldplay, Lifehouse...etc. Crisha's pretty eclectic. Latley it has been Jazzy music from the past. A lot of Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald...etc has been playing in house latley.
  • Movies

We love funny movies that we can turn off my brains and drool. Laugh and quote later, "Brent-I ate your chocolate squirrel". Oh man, we LOVE Kung-Fu movies; I wish I could be as cool as Jackie Chan! And artistic movies that make you think outside of your comfort zone- like; Eternal Sunshine, Water, Mullholland Drive, 21 grams, i heart huckabees, Donnie Darko, Garden State, The Big Labowski, but -oh yeah- Dumb and Dumber has to be our favorite-
  • Television

Turn off the TV and Read a BOOK!!! NOT a fan of television and the brainwashing propaganda of the media. I beleive it segregates and teaches us to stereotype as well as categorize people. Unless, its cartoons- we l0ove cartoons.
  • Books

Favorite books include; THE Bible, Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller, The Great Divorce by CS Lewis, Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie Dillard, The Poisenwood Bible by Barbara Kinsinger,Fast Food Nation, Nickel and Dimed, God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy,The Lord of the Rings Series, Jesus Freaks by dc Talk; all forms of poetry, anything by Vonnegut, Arundhati Roy, CS Lewis, Henry David Thoreau, Aristotle ....I could go on forever

About me:

Hello! We're Brent and Crisha Schuler, we live in Santa Maria until we can build enough financial security to move to our next destination. We have traveling hearts and hate being tied down; The only thing we don't want to change is our family. We just recently had our first child, our son Ezekiel Brent Schuler was born January 14, 2008. Parenthood is a great adventure so far and we love learning all about our little boy. We are so blessed and thank our God everyday. **Being MARRIED is SO much fun when you're married to your best friend!** We both love the Lord, and love living in his creation.*Life's really great.*~God gave us this world with it's resources for dominion- not for abuse. Not for gluttony. God gave us dominion over creatures for harmony. Not for perversion. Not for self indulgance. ***Jesus is love*** And I love him, and though I stray he is my loyal shephard to lead me home. I know how I should live and I know why, and will share anything you want to know. He is why I am who I am today. My goal,to be worldly without being of this world........I want/will/am going to see the ENTIRE world...Connect my soul with lost beings thirsting for acknowledgment.

Who I'd like to meet:

Artists. No matter your canvas. Random people who go on adventures, *Only boring people are bored* People who: inspire me, impress me, or anybody who has a story to tell. - If you want to change the world, allow it to mold you.- Philosophers; "Unfortunately conformity reaches far and wide into American life: to distort our democracy? This drift toward quantity instead of quality is largely distortion. Conformity is always convenient? Quality means individuality, is therefore difficult. But unless we go deeper now, quality at the expense of quality will be our national tragedy - the rise of mediocrity into high places."-Frank Lloyd Wright....................................................."Whoever thou art, if thou seekest to extol the glory of these doors, marvel not at the gold and the expense but at the craftsmanship of the work. Right is the noble work; but, being nobly bright, the work should brighten the minds, so that they may travel, through the true lights,To the True Light where Christ is the true door.In what manner it be inherent in this world the golden door defines:The dull mind rises to truth through that which is material and, in seeing this light, is resurrected from its former submersion."-Abbot Suger.....

i remember looking at all your pics and stuff when i was in jamaica.
    how special :)
he was slowly being starved for almost a month in the hospital while he awaited bowel obstruction surgery and became a skeleton with skin. it was crazy to see the transformation...he's also a preemie so his growth and development are all off from what he's been through...
that would be so amazing if you guys could help with anything. i'm in the sates now, so i send just $15 per month to help support him, and tomorrow i'm supposed to get a call from the jamaican government to find out if i can move forward in trying to adopt him, but i may not talk to them until monday or tuesday. if i get to move forward in that and you still want to help with anything, maybe with the fees for sending paperwork back and forth or homestudy costs if it ever gets to that...or just wait until i have to fly back there again if i'm going to work on the adoption...thanks for the offer and i understand if you don't want to help since i'm not living there any more.

    good to hear from you!
how is your lil baby manchild doing?! :)
