Wooden Pigs are a four piece Rock band from Bournemouth. They've played across London, including headline shows at Monto Water Rats and various Camden venues. They've also played some of the biggest venues around South UK such as the B.I.C., Opera house, The Joiners and many more.
They were featured on Artrocker Magazine's website as one of the best unsigned bands to look out for. (link can be found on blog).
"On a night of largely indie bands we are greeted by openers Wooden Pigs. These guys have youth on their side and an abundance of energy, not to mention a clutch of decent songs and some familiar influences. Wooden Pigs are not a band who readily announce song titles (well not tonight anyway). Nevertheless they succeed in making largely original music with a fair nod in the direction of Kings Of Leon. Their vocalist is confident throughout while pulling shapes not dissimilar to a young Joe Strummer, and the Clash influence doesn’t stop there. The percussionist does a fair impression of one Topper (Headon), playing in an effortless manner throughout while losing nothing in power. ‘Lions’ is a standout track although there are no songs worthy of criticism from these guys."
