The members of Woodnote have played together since the 1970's in a number of
local bands including Bullfrogs and Crickets, Foxfire, Back in the Saddle, Flying Yankee Band, Whitewater, Live Bait and Dixie Highway.
Their music is an eclectic mix of folk, rock, country and Americana with acoustic and electric driven instrumentals and rich vocal harmonies and ranges from the Beatles to the Jayhawks.
They have played many local venues including the Blind Lemon, Southgate House, Findlay Market music in the Market, Zino's, Al's, Dixie's, University of Cincinnati as well as many private parties and weddings. They have also performed at the Queen City Balladeers' Leo Coffeehouse with Wild Carrot, Small Potatoes as well as Al Pettiway and Amy White and at the Edensong Summer Concert series. (Including a backstage Beatles jam with Jerry Springer!)
Norm Heck and Chip Coburn also currently play with Crosstie (Southern and Blues Rock)
Woodnote also supports a number of local nonprofit organizations through performances at local fund raisers for the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati and the Health Resource Network.
