The band includes Paul McCalmont on acoustic and electric guitar, banjo, mandolin and bass, Marie Frondorf (West side community theater & National Singing in the Shower winner) on acoustic guitar; Norm Heck (formerly of Back in the Saddle and Foxfire) on guitar and bass; Bob Littmann on acoustic, electric,resonator and lap steel guitar as well as harmonica and Chip Coburn (Back in the Saddle, Foxfire, Flying Yankees, Whitewater, Live Bait and Dixie Highway) on drums.

Souther, James Taylor, Richard Thompson, and Jerry Jeff Walker.
The members of Woodnote have played together since the 1970's in a number of
local bands including Bullfrogs and Crickets, Foxfire, Back in the Saddle, Flying Yankee Band, Whitewater, Live Bait and Dixie Highway.
Their music is an eclectic mix of folk, rock, country and Americana with acoustic and electric driven instrumentals and rich vocal harmonies and ranges from the Beatles to the Jayhawks.
They have played many local venues including the Blind Lemon, Southgate House, Findlay Market , Boswell Alley, Music Cafe' @ Fitton Center, Zino's, Al's, Dixie's, University of Cincinnati, as well as many private parties and weddings.
They have also performed at the Queen City Balladeers' Leo Coffeehouse with Wild Carrot, Small Potatoes, as well as Al Pettiway and Amy White, and at the Edensong Summer Concert series. (Including a backstage Beatles jam with Jerry Springer!)
Norm Heck and Chip Coburn also currently play with Crosstie (Country and Rock)
Woodnote also supports a number of local nonprofit organizations through performances at local fund raisers for the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati Clay Alliance, FreestoreFoodbank and the Health Resource Network.
