When influential locales in music are discussed, rarely is the state of Minnesota mentioned. And yet it's there that super producer A. Woods hails from. First influenced by music at the opening of the 90's, A. Woods soaked up as much as he could until 1998 when he picked up a pen and began turning experiences and thoughts into music. Upon a chance meeting with rapper Soopa Mann, he began writing hip hop music. Finding a lack of quality production locally, A. Woods sought out whatever means to back hot lyrics with hotter beats. It was early in 2000 when he started teaching himself beatmaking and over the years he has honed his craft and shaped his sound, incorporating influences from Timbaland, The Neptunes, and others into his own style. In late 2005 he began work with local producer Will Ways, working on various projects for local and national acts. As 2008 broke, he was working with national acts like Beluga Heights artist Auburn and local talent Buss One, as well as a project with long time collaborator Soopa Mann (prior to his incarceration).
