The Naked truth Naked was born in 1999, revolving around the songs, spirit, vision and voice of singer/songwriter Julia Nichols. Difficult to to categorize, Naked provides an ambient, genre defying mix of magical elements that touch upon, soul, jazz, blues and pop with a bohemian air. Known for their vocal arrangements & harmonies, driven by an intricate tapestry of rhythm, described by many as a wall of sound. Singer Rachel Marco-Havens, describes Julia's melodic style as written almost in counter melody. In the grand tradition of Papa Funk, Julia and the core members of Naked are something like the roots of a tree, the revolving members acting as branches together bearing melodic fruit abundant and ripe. Naked looks to share the harvest of a new album after a creative winter in the Catskills.
Music beyond description .. let yer' earholes decide.
