What makes Woodstock different to most other studios is the layout of the studio itself.
The primary focus of the studio when it was built was to provide an environment which allowed it's artists to feel as creative and comfortable as they are when they're outside of a studio environment.
The decision was made to do away with the standard layout of a separate control room and recording space and combine the two into one, allowing more direct contact between the producer, engineer and artists. Several isolation booths and a drum room are adjoining the main room.
...A boutique recording studio for those who realise the importance of a quality recording whilst being in an environment which is conducive to creating it.
At the heart of the studio is a vintage Neve 51 Series Console. This particular console is well known for its classic Pre-Amps and EQ, producing the tones that have made Neve the preferred recording console of choice around the world for decades.
Complimenting the Neve is a wide range of external Pre-Amps of varying characteristics to provide more options in the input stage. Pre-Amps from Summit, Avalon, Auditrinoics, Rolls and TL Audio are available.
From circa World War II AWA, Altec and Gates Limiters to Ureis, LA2 and ADL Compressor/Limiters, we provide a range of choice and quality normally reserved for studios well above our price range.
We record to both 24 track 2 inch analog tape or Protools HD, whichever is more suitable to your sound and budget.
Adding to this, our extensive range of the best valve, ribbon, dynamic and vintage microphones available which have helped make Woodstock the studio of choice for well over a decade to the cream of established and emerging Australian artists.
thanks troy! be good to come in at some stage and check out the studio. Ive heard great things. Also put 18th July in your diary. I've got an album launch at the corner. you should come down. Cheers Jaimi

With out kats like John there wouldnt even be a blues and roots category for us to get a nomination. He has done gr8 things for the industry as we know it today. How ya been bro......we are sorting a timeframe for the next studio album now......got lotsa new toones enough for probably 2 rekkids......hard to choose. Hope that awesome studio is going well and i cant wait to get back in there sometime and work with you fine gents again. Ps send my regards to Robin if you see him. talk soon:)
