Having played the (noisy) guitar in a Brit-pop band called Walking Down Brenton Road (Verve HTR/Rough Trade) for a couple of years I thought it would be time to pick up some "old and new rags" before they completely turn to dust. So ... Wood is my new (musical) baby. I hope you enjoy my music, deeply rooted in the American singer-songwriter tradition spiced with some spoontips of British upbeat pop melancholia. Driven by country-style acoustic guitars, some laid-back, bluesy electric guitars, an old-fashioned hammond B3, honesty and affection the songs on the NEW CD "Silence is here" (2008) describe my acoustic cinemascope travel through life. This 100% drug-free mood-altering trip takes you from an intimate, but gently rocking lullaby ("Silence is here") to an epic car drive through Death Valley ("Personal Highway") and, of course, "Always towards the light". In "Green Grass" blues turns into gospel and you may find yourself either “On the ground” or lifted up.
At some point(s) on my "Personal Highway" I was lucky enough to “stumble upon salvation” and to feel "Loved again" in a world where things and people "Collide". Enjoy!

Thanks, man. There'll be new tunes sometime this summer, and actually, I'll probably put more of Stops & Starts up later today. The new 10-song limit is pretty exciting. :)
Thanks for the translation help, Daniel! We really appreciate it. It was funny, because right after you sent the message, we were writing to Hans (Switzerland) about our album, and saw your page up on his friends. The world seems sometimes small. Thanks for the request and for the help, and best wishes with your music.
