Woodward Ranch, the only source of the famed RED PLUME AGATE, has over 60 different kinds of other agate and gemstones occurring naturally.
Some of the material is fluorescent. We will show you the characteristics of the rock you are looking for, and upon your return tell you the different kinds you have found. If you don't want to hunt your own gemstones, we also have rock available at the rockshop, from rough to unique, one-of-a-kind finished jewelry and gifts.
A Brief History Homesteaded in 1884, Woodward Ranch is presently operated by Trey Woodward, the 4th generation of the founding family. Woodward Ranch is designated by the State of Texas as a Land Heritage Ranch. One of the very few ranches open to the public, it is also still an operating cattle ranch, raising Texas Longhorns and cross-bred cattle. To see pictures and artifacts from the "old days" visit our Heritage Room and Fireplace Room.
To enjoy the full experience of Woodward Ranch, we hope you'll be able to stay with us. We offer full, pull-thru R.V. sites (50amp, Elec., water & sewer). Tent camping is available with restroom facilities at the main ranch headquarters. We offer two cabins on the banks of Calamity Creek, surrounded by shade trees, approximately 2 miles from the main headquarters. One cabin has a complete kitchen and accommodates up to 7 people. The 'NEW' cabin has only a microwave and coffee pot, and can accommodate up to 4 people. We hope you will be able to stay with us at least one night. You will be amazed by the beautiful starry nights, uninterrupted by lights, buildings or highway noise. Call or email for prices and reservations.
Thank you for accepting my friend invite. Everyone is always talks about your beautiful agates! I am fairly new to MySpace. Browsed and browsed and browsed for members who share my interests in both semiprecious gemstones, silversmithing, rock hounding, and jewelry designing.
Not having any luck with finding MySpace related groups to join though. I found quite a few gemstone and jewelry design related groups, but even the ones with hundreds of members have absolutely zero activity. If you know of any "active" MySpace gemstone, lapidary, or jewelry design groups, please let me know..
Just taking the time to say hello to newly acquired friends. If there is anything you have learned or are utilizing within MySpace that is helpful to you in regards to networking, and marketing your online business please let me know. Would be greatly appreciated.
