About me:
2009 Season cast Announced! See the Blog!
The Woodward Shakespeare Festival's Mission is to present live theatre productions for the cultural education, entertainment, and inspiration of our community, and to make our contribution to the arts of California's Central Valley accessible to everyone. All Shakespeare performances in Fresno's Woodward Park are free of charge.
WSF produces two Shakespearean productions each summer in Fresno's Woodward Park. During the months of October through April, WSF produces staged readings of classic plays -- mostly Shakespeare-- in association with the Fresno County Libraries.
In 2009, WSF is beginning actor workshops for local participants. We hope these workshops will expand into a growing series of weekend intensives for performer training in classical technique addressing text analysis, language use, voice and movement, stage combat, and various other disciplines involved with performing Shakespeare.
