General	I'm a volunteer firefighter in Tarentum. I also dj occasionally. I'm into computers, the Internet, gadgets, etc. I'm a fan of most sports, especially the Steelers. I also like to play sports when I get a chance. I play ultimate frisbee and tennis. I'm always up for any kind of party. About me:

I work in the Computational Genetics Program at UPMC. We attempt to find genetic links to psychiatric diseases.

I'm a volunteer firefighter in Tarentum, which has been an adventure, both good and bad.

I also dj occasional events. There's nothing like getting paid to choose what music I want everybody to hear. Not that I mind when the girls come up with their requests. I try to play everyone's requests. I'm a people pleaser.

People say I'm funny. I'm quite the sports fan. I just like to have fun, in general. I live for weekends.

I grew up in Tarentum, PA, a bit north of Pittsburgh, where I lived up till a couple of years ago when I moved to ... Tarentum! So I have my own house, but I'm still close enough to visit the parents right around dinner time. ;-) Best of both worlds.

Who I'd like to meet:

I want to meet people who are fun to hang out with and have a good sense of humor.

I'm also very interested in meeting creative people, who can find something interesting where others see only the ordinary, and have a unique way of sharing these observations with others. People who can take an ordinary, perhaps even boring, situation and make it into an interesting experience.

If I could meet anyone who likes to play tennis, that would be great too. I'm always looking for somebody to play.

So ... the story I was telling over Christmas about "The Biggest Elf of All": Kate had brought in homemade fudge, and we were whipping it up to the school's high ceiling and watching it stick (ah, youth.) Anyway, later I went into the wardrobe room and a bunch of girls were in there. I took more fudge and they were like, "What are you doing with all that?" I told them, "Oh, I'm going to hide a needle in here and then offer it to someone as a joke." They gave me the "whatever" eye-roll. Well, about five minutes later you came running into the wardrobe room, screaming and holding your mouth, and I was chasing you, apologizing like crazy and begging you to hold still, PLEASE! so I can take the pin out of your tongue. But you kept running, and everybody in the room was horrified. Since you were such a nice, quiet guy, the cast never suspected that it was a ruse -- and that YOU had come up with the idea!
