KATIE ARRANTS, KATHLEEN KEOGH, and RIKKI ROTHENBERG.
Members of the community: children, parents, young hipsters, old hippies... all join in - to make woolly a better place, time and time again.
Influences
abandoned buildings, authentic movement, tuna melts, dance parties, street performers, hard-core heavy metal, bad dancing, private habits in public spaces, chocolate, spitting chocolate, disappointment invoking ecstatic homicidal ideation, amorphous lycra evening attire, the sexy apocalypse, taking things too far.

Sounds Like
a dance video, a sprinkle of kate bush and black sabbath, and david rafn.
Woolly Mammoth Comes to Dinner is a dance group. We work and perform in both traditional and non-trad environments and sometimes invite other people to collaborate with us. Some of those people are dancers, non-dancers, local musician friends, clothing designer friends, and friend friends. Strangers are also welcome. Often we indulge ourselves in non-sense, and then attempt to make something coherent out of it. We believe in acceptance and inclusivity. We try to remember our fancy pants. Fancy pants knock your socks off.
DAVID RAFN of Sustentacula, is our main musical collaborator and in general a great contributer.
DIANA LANG of )open((clothed) has costumed Woolly over and over- and she'll do it AGAIN! We swear! She is Totally Radical. Totical. http://www.openclothed.com/

During a time when we were looking for places to dance other than our living rooms, we found ourselves freezing cold in the rain in a burnt down building we briefly loved. We wouldn't consider this a music video (no music involved!); it's more like a glimpse at our process and the beauty that can be found in otherwise dismal environments. It's long, so just settle in and listen to the rain drops hitting the lens.
