Over 20 years of hosting music sports and talk formats.
currently I host a show called wordballoon, featuring one on one interviews with pop culture creators.
About me: I'm John Siuntres a broadcaster, working in Chicago Radio and TV for over 17 years. In 1998 I was nominated for an emmy for my on-screen work.
Word Balloon is a weekly entertainment podcast, featuring one on one interviews with pop culture creators in the fields of comics, film, tv, and games.
Since debuting in the Summer of 2005, we've had great episodes with Brad Meltzer,Geoff Johns,Jeph loeb, Ed Brubaker, Greg Rucka, Allan Heinberg, Dwayne McDuffie, Neal Adams, Thomas Jane, Walter Simonson, Colleen Doran, Marv Wolfman, Gene Colan, Mark Waid, and dozens of others.
In February 2006, we began a relationship with Brian Michael Bendis hosting THE BENDIS TAPES. These are semi monthly Q&A podcasts, where fans from his message board set the agenda for our conversations.
My blog has some past interviews, but all the rest can be found at my site, www.wordballoon.lybsyn.com
Who I'd like to meet: Smart people. who love good music, books, films, tv , and comics

Hey fans, check out my new show, from the Producers of GOSSIP GIRL and ALIAS...
SAMURAI GIRL Episode #1 is available RIGHT NOW and FOR FREE at the iTunes Store!
Produced by THE X-FILES' Frank Spotnitz, GOSSIP GIRL's Bob Levy, ALIAS and LIFE ON MARS' Josh Appelbaum & Andre Nemec, Scott (Beautiful Girls, Con Air, Gone in Sixty Seconds) Rosenberg and me, Luke McMullen.
SAMURAI GIRL is a six hour mini-series that will air two hours a night Friday September 5 thru Sunday September 7 at 8:00PM on ABC FAMILY--- check it out!!
What began as a small sketch video series now is a tutorial series in High Definition (HD)!
It is made for comic fans and aspiring artists out there.
The best part: It is complete free of charge and you can embed the videos in your blog, website and so on. You also can download the original size videos at the vimeo site.
Because I only can upload 500MB each week you will have to wait for the second part of the 'Hellgirl' paint video until next week. Here are the links to the sketch video and part one (of two) of the paint video:
"Cinematic in its telling, THE REVENANT is at its heart a gorefest...but with a whodunnit trail of clues it owes almost as much to Detective Comics and Dick Tracy as it does to Nightmare on Elm Street. "
I finished proofing A Demon Awaits today. I'm very excited about the book. When the cover art is complete, the books will start rolling off the press!!!!
