We were a weekly 2 hour show bringing listeners info on forthcoming gigs and events in the Bristol area.
Featuring exclusive live performances, interviews with top local musicians, promoters and labels, album previews, CD and ticket give aways and all manner of exciting stuff, we ran from March 2007 until January 2008 when scheduling issues at BCfm forced us to either compromise on our show's content or cease broadcasting. We chose the later.
Which was a shame as our playlists were awesome!! - see our blog for examples.
Podcasts from our final few shows are available here

SEMINAL AQUACADE Nov '07 - a new zine from Leeds by the makers of legendary zines such as Soda Pressed, Big Dead Thing, Obsolete Feat and others whose names I've forgotten.
In the 48 pages, you will find:
- A drunken interview with Anticon's SJ Esau
- another with Fatcat's No Age, again drunk.
- An article by P.Steere aka 'Yorkie' on the ultimate Friday night mixtape featuring Void, Misfits, No Trend, Black Flag, Van Halen, Wipers, Melvins, Flipper and loads more. - NO record or live reviews
- An account of a trip to PrimaveraSound festival and Gringo records 10th anniversary gig by the alcoholic comedian masquerading as a wordsmith; Daniel Robert Chapman.
- Nicholas Bannerman forcibly extracts occasionally misguided though meticulously articulated rants of personal opinion from Nicholas Jones - who is a brilliant writer.
- A complete disregard for proof reading (first run only - v. limited!).
- Hello Roy G! - a surreal and sick comic debut from Stroidy. "That's genuinely entertaining" - Nick Jones "You're sick" - Daniel Robert Chapman. "lol" - Everyone who has read it.
- Plus gushes on Times New Viking, Persona (film), Planet Records, Norman Records, Crescent, Late Junction (Radio), Mew and Random Rules (Leeds club night).
- illustrations by Jon Owen, Kieron Piercy and Nick Bannerman. As well as an excessively beautiful front and rear cover in full colour.

The Basement Studio is now running free open access sessions in Bristol again. These sessions are for young people at all levels of music interest and experience. There are two areas: Live music – with drum kit, bass, electric or acoustic guitars, keyboard and mics; Urban music – with music tech, DJing and MCing. There are 3x 40 min slots in each area every session. Each area is run by a tutor who will talk to you about what you want to do - and help you do it. There are also youth workers who can help you get info and advice on anything you need to know about and are generally up for a chat. They can also help you get certificates such as National Youth Achievement Awards or Arts Awards – either for the music you make or for other projects. Call the Basement (0117) 934 9013 for more info – or just turn up. We’re at the Unicorns, Colston Street (next to Colston Hall), on Tues and Thurs eves, 7.30-10pm. When you’re standing in front of Colston Hall there’s an archway directly to the right. Walk through there, make for the double brown doors (next to the bins) – through them and downstairs to the Unicorns.
