About me: We all deserve safety and respect at work. We all deserve to earn livable wages. We all deserve to have affordable healthcare and childcare. When Vermonters stand up to fight for these things, the Vermont Workers’ Center is there to support them. We work in a broad coalition of Vermonters, community organizations and unions to build a movement for positive social change, including fighting to undo racism and all forms of oppression.

Who I'd like to meet: People with questions about their rights at work, interested in finding out how to organize for livable wages, healthcare for all, safe and respectful workplaces and better communities. If you are a Vermonter who is interested learning about getting involved, send us an email at info@workerscenter.org. If you don't live in Vermont, check out our national networks of www.jwj.org or www.ggjalliance.org to find folks near you.

I work my arse off for my 10 bucks an hour with no health insurance or anything else.. Primarily I get paid to exercise picking up after rich people .. Last night while on the job a couple a approached me ..The woman said “ I hope your cleaning my office tonight because I had nachos for lunch.” …The guy said and “I had cookies.”… ..let be honest and tell ya that ..I had a hard time not hucking a big greener in a few coffee cups last night… These pigs cant even manage to get their snot rags in the trash can… The only thing that keeps me going is knowing that when the cold grey chicken flu honey bee free times come is that I have the keys to a great many castles ….and I will not hesitate to use them.
Thanks for the request and for supporting Ms. Roy!
"The only dream worth having is to dream that you will live while you are alive, and die only when you are dead. To love, to be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and vulgar disparity of the life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget." - Arundhati Roy
