Duane Snyder, Duane Snider, one of the featured collector's in this week's episode of Oregon Art Beat, is a graduate of WAN's intense business training program, the Guerilla Exhibitor [referred to as "GX"]. Participants in the GX course take on a project that highlight's their art form, which in Snider's case was his devotion to collecting the works of emerging artists. Snider's project, with a little encouragement from course leader Adrienne Fritze, was to have OPB's Oregon Art Beat program do their first ever show on art collecting. His project comes to fruition in this 1/2 hour special episode produced by OPB's KC Cowan. Check it out by CLICKING ON HIS IMAGE ABOVE - I think it's the best episode ever produced by that program. And then check out Snider's website at http://theartcounselor.com/ ;-), A. ....

About me:

Working Artists, LLC is an arts incubator designed to encourage and develop entrepreneurship in artists. The primary avenue we offer to fulfill on this mission is through training programs where the artists produce projects that provide arts-based programming to communities in local neighborhoods. Among them are the Curatorial Program, the Applied Arts Program, the Guerrilla Exhibitor workshops, and the Working Artists Network. Each of these programs has a specific focus and intent. ..We invite artists from all over the world, in any discipline, to join us here on MySpace, and on our website at www.workingartistsnetwork.com, and engage in discussion, activities, blogging, etc. with us and the Friends we share..... Thank you for being Artist! With love, Adrienne Fritze, founder

Who I'd like to meet:

    Hiya,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Hope you got a ridiculous amount of presents all of which you wanted very much. Also I trust that you spent Christmas with those you like best in all the world, cause otherwise, why bother? I am running away to Canada in January to record some music, so maybe I should incorporate that into my new years resolution... something, something, I will be creative and productive, blah, blah, blah. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, hope the holidays are great fun for you.
