 Landing in Sydney, it was rainy and overcast and I wasn't sure this was the adventure I'd signed up for. Three months on, having worked in a law firm, I'd spent Christmas on Bondi, surfed and saved enough money for two weeks in Tasmania, visiting the incredible Cradle Mountain. I also had enough change for my East Coast excursions, including rafting, diving and boomerang painting...and I'd barely touched my savings. Back in Sydney I really felt at home. So when someone got on the bus bound for Bondi with a massive rucksack and a useless map, sympathetically I directed them to the YHA. Well, when you're a local, you know these things!... The times when I worked in Oz on the Working Holiday Visa were the best, and I met both locals and other travellers which gave me a more complete experience
