About me:

The WOW! (Work of Women) program at World Neighbors mobilizes people in support of a better life for women throughout the world. Through education, advocacy and donations, WOW! members engage in and support efforts to end poverty, hunger and disease.

Members of the Work of Women association - WOW! - are making changes in this world. We are committed to improving women's lives in poor, rural villages around the globe.

To find out how you can join the movement, visit www.workofwomen.org.

Who I'd like to meet:

By becoming a member of WOW! (Work of Women) you are investing in the power and potential of women. WOW! membership and donations support women and their communities throughout World Neighbors program areas in Asia, Africa and Latin America. As a WOW! member you receive regular e-updates on issues affecting women who struggle with poverty in rural communities around the world, "learn more" opportunities, action ideas, and opportunities to lead and participate in WOW! campaigns and activities. Best of all, you know that your involvement and support make a difference to women and their families.

In Nepal, women gather together every year on the third day after the new moon in the Nepali month of Bhadra. On this day during the Tij Festival, often referred to as "Women's Day", women of all ages join together to sing and dance.
