About me:

I'm a world music afficionado and DJ/host-producer of "The World Beat" on KMSU FM since 1990. I post my World Beat playlists on the Web at www.mnsu.edu/kmsufm/wbpl/WB.html They link to musician websites and record labels from around the world. Recently I've been linking, from my playlists, to an increasing number of World Beat musicians sites on MySpace. It seemed like a good time to join the MySpace social network. I'm sending friend invitations to musicians and record labels that I've featured on "The World Beat." You can hear "The World Beat" in southern Minnesota on KMSU 89.7 fm between 7:00 - 9:00 PM CST(GMT -6hr) each Saturday night. Or online at KMSU.org. I host the show live on the first Saturday of each month.

Who I'd like to meet:

World Beat musicians from around the globe. From Scandinavia to South Africa and from New York to Nepal.

Foreclosures are still going at 70K annually...no end in sight.

From Pete Seeger to Bob Marley...someone's got to be keeping the message alive.

Thanks for including me on your radio show.  I am grateful.

I thought you might like to know that we saw in concert Brazilian superstar Gal Costa tonight in Washington DC (as duo with her zany bossa nova guitarist Romero Lumbambo)  Just a nylon acoustic guitar and her great voice.  It was a great evening!
