Is the man behind the start of a worldmusic recordshop.With his contacts all over the world Said is behind most the worldmusic shows in Sweden. Said have provided all the Clubs, Radio stations, Dj..s and music-lovers during many years with music before he decide to perform himself as a Dj and giving lectures in different schools about worldmusic.
Said have been performing this last years as Dj for Tinariwen, Amadou & Meriem, Los De Abajo, Khaled, O.N.B, Toumani Diabaté, Skatalites, Mahala Rai Banda and many more. He has been a resident Dj för the Club Världens Bar during 3 years.
Influences
Worldmusic oasis have been influenced from the whole world. Styles like Afrobeat, Gnawa,
Rai music, Qawwali , Artists like Tinariwen, Gnawa Diffusion , O.N.B, Les Boukakes, Dusminguet, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Madilu System, Mahmoud Ahmed have made a big influence on Saids music styles.

Opened its doors in 1993. The shop was one of the pioneers in world music in Sweden. Today, after long experience, Worldmusic oasis is proud to offer a large choice of music from the whole world. Worldmusic oasis is like the name symbolises a real oasis of world music. Our contacts around the world make us able to offer music from big record companies as well as small companies. We can also offer music from unknown artists as well as artists found on the worldmusic charts. More than 100 countries are represented in our stock. Worldmusic Oasis is active in different culture and music events in Gothenburg, and have been a meeting point for music lovers. The shop has become an information centre for music events, where all the people can be up-dated on what’s happening in the town. Worldmusic oasis also have a large collection of vinyl’s, old and new. Reggae, funk, soul, pop, rock, jazz etc. Today Worldmusic Oasis is proud to say that they have staff with great knowledge and experience. We can help with advice and recommendations. Behind the name of Azawad are hidden three original members of the Tinariwen collective: Abdallah, Hassan and Kedou. These are the live recordings made in 1999 in France, which can perhaps be considered Tinariwen’s first concert outside Africa.
