..alec as a writer.. - novels. screenplays. short stories. poetry.

I have one screenplay that's supposed to be made into a movie. In theory, that is/was supposed to begin this spring, but I have my doubts. Eventually, it should happen.

I have written a couple of novels, but have yet to acquire an agent or a shiny book deal.

I've recently returned to Dayton, OH--after living in DC for a couple of years--to spend time with family and friends before finally moving to West Africa for Peace Corps service

As mentioned previously, I am a Peace Corps Volunteer. My 27 month service officially begins 7 July 2008, and I'll be going to Mali to teach English. I believe in a lot of causes, and I feel that we can each make a difference--even as individuals, we can make an impact.

I believe that people are inherently good, just sometimes misguided. Sometimes, it takes others to show us exactly how far off point we truly are. But still, we, as a people, are good and capable of amazing things. This, I believe.

I exercise. A lot. I feel that it's important to keep both the mind and body in good shape--otherwise, we lack balance. Balance is important.

    Howdy Neighbor....I leave for Guinea, December 2nd. Maybe I can catch up with you there...that would be cool...maybe you can tell me some things to prevent, or guard against. I have been doing all of my reading on Guinea. I can't wait to get there....I'm still numb from the excitement!

    It seems like you have became the man you were always meant to be! I respect, envy, and love you! I need an address where I can write you in Mali! It seems it's been a season of change for a lot of people! Hope I will see you soon and if I don't hear from you please be careful! There is no other person more suited to be my best friend! :)

    Its good to hear from you as well:) Yes now all is close to well or on its way to being so... I am going to OIP&T now.
    They're going to teach me to use one of those digital camera thingies hehehe nah I know more about it than that but the point is I finally am done trying shove myself into a box I don't fit into and I have maaaaad loans I'm not thinking about to prove it:)

    you better call me b4 u go to Mali!!!! Damnit boy, we r supposed to talk these things over. Ha I got an offer for Belize as a teach too. Don't know if I wanna leave my cat though. I hate leaving her. It sounds weird but I'm weird. Cave spelunkink though. I don't have to be cleared it's not for a two year stint just three mos. Not with Peace Corps though. I have to get cleared. After that huge hit to the noggin don't know if they will take me tho. :( My dream crushed. Of course we could marry and I could go with you and then whatev. That's the fun of being us.
