Breaking out of the Midwest is hard enough if youre in a city like Chicago, or St Louis. But breaking out of a place that most people have never heard of is something else entirely. If you look at an atlas of the county ~somewhere along dead center is Oklahoma. Go a little bit east and you will find Springfield Missouri and quietly sandwiched between is a tiny blip on the map known as Joplin. And thanks to the five members of Frail that blip is about to become ground zero.
Together in various line up combinations for a little under six years, Frail have spent every waking moment of the last six months kicking out the walls of their surroundings. The more obstacles thrown in their way the harder they seem to be kicking. Released independently on September 11th 2004. Frails debut Disturbing the Violence offers listeners a voice of hope, of introspection, and at times a postcard for the inner struggles that we each endure on a daily basis. Frail is something different however where most of todays artists scream on podiums of self prescribed despair. Frail is a band that holds the scars to show for every experience they share, yet that are unwilling or unable to take the poor me route, offering instead a voice of introspection, hope and at times anger rage and defiance.
the origional DISTURBING THE VIOLENCE cd has been retired as frail re~entered the studio in january of o5 to record several tracks that due to budget contrains were left off of the initial pressing...thus completeing the disc as they feel it should have been. the completely repackaged cd now titled DISTURBING THE MINDSET cd IS IN STORES NOW
