C’est début 2003 que SYNOPSIS, groupe Rouennais de Rock-Progressif, a vu le jour.
A cette époque, le groupe s’est d’abord attelé à la constitution d’un répertoire de reprises ; les influences sont variées, Rock, Pop ou Metal mais toujours dans l’esprit « Progressif » (Dream Theater, Queensrÿche, Rush …).
Après avoir délivré plusieurs concerts dans la région Normande, le groupe décide en 2004 d’intégrer ses propres chansons au répertoire. Petit à petit, l’idée de composer devient la priorité et la récompense arrive en 2005 puisque « En mon âme » (1er titre composé par SYNOPSIS) est retenu pour figurer sur une compilation éditée à 3000 exemplaires (Crock’la Haute-Normandie).
La qualité des mélodies a une place essentielle dans le processus de composition ; une musique puissante, mélodique, des ambiances atmosphériques et des textes en français forment l’identité musicale de SYNOPSIS.
Samuel Guerrier (chant), Matthieu Lejeune (basse), Marin Pasquier (batterie),Daniel Sminiac (guitare) et Guillaume Roger (clavier) vous donnent rendez-vous en 2008 pour la sortie du 1er CD de SYNOPSIS !

It was in 2003, that the band SYNOPSIS, a Progressive Rock band from Rouen, was born. Little by little the band has built up a reputation; their musical influences have varied from Rock to Pop to Metal but SYNOPSIS has always remained very much in the spirit of 'Progressive Rock', following in the footsteps of the likes of Dream Theatre, Queensrÿche, Rush and many others. After having performed numerous concerts in the Normandie region of France, it was in 2004 that SYNOPSIS decided it was time to start bringing in their own material. Composing their own music quickly became a priority and their first song 'En mon âme' (In my soul) was released on a compilation CD (Crock’la Haute-Normandie), of which 3,000 copies were made and sold. Having been accepted so well by the public, SYNOPSIS continue to work on their own materiel. It is little more than a strong melody, an atmospheric ambiance and French lyrics which form the musical identity known as SYNOPSIS.
Made up of: Samuel Guerrier (Vocals), Matthieu Lejeune (bass), Marin Pasquier (drums),Daniel Sminiac (guitar) et Guillaume Roger (keyboard), SYNOPSIS will greet you in 2008 with the release of their first album!
