We had a great time out on the road with the full band on the US tour in August and September 2006! It was a great year! We played SXSW and Bonnaroo, opened for Steve Miller and played by rivers and in town centers, clubs, sports halls and baseball pitches. Had a great time at the Roxy in LA, at Park West in Chicago and at The Irving Plaza in NYC, it seemed like we had never been away. Thanks to the people who turned up for the shows......Working in the studio now and releasing the new work soon (early 08...). We will be releasing the Best In Show CD which will contain the best known World Party tracks and weblinks to live versions and studio demos from the vaults in the meantime....and in the meantime we will be on tour with Steely Dan through September 07 down in Australia and New Zealand. The band are currently back in London working on the next collection of songs.

The hope was to release the new cd as the band started their September 2007 tour of Australia and New Zealand with Steely Dan (as a five piece!). But hey this is World Party and the new songs won't see daylight til 2008.In the meantime, Seaview Records will also be releasing two compilation CDs of World Party archive material, covers, live versions and demos. There will also be brand new World Party stuff in 2008, I mean we would say there will be a new World Party cd, but who knows what it is we're meant to be selling you right now........downloaded mp3s, USB sticks or vinyl.......!!!???? We will, however, be back..............
Love the tunes! Your vocals kind of remind me of Lennon/Jagger/Dylan all rolled upinto one clove ciggie! Please, bring your ass in Seoul, and do do a gig. You're the bomb!!
With Steely Dan or without- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come back to Australia.... please. I missed out last time :( Dont get me wrong- I love a bit of Mr Dan the man but i would really like it if you could perhaps do another round trip please! Love you guys lots! INTERGALLACTIC PROTEST LAUNCHED BY THE ROBOTS FROM MARS!
The Robots From Mars have launched a protest with the Beetlejuice Gaming Commission. The major issue focuses on the disadvantage that metallic robots have when playing Pong since most robots tend to light up when struck by the game ball. “But that all depends on the size of the game ball verses the size of the robot,” the Great Butbot advised, “there’s a proper ratio with these things.” Johnny Air-Guitar, “Getting struck by a ball of light is a real and constant danger…if I light up I’ll give my position away.” Rob “Rainbow” Marley, “I light up if I’m within six feet of a Pong match. I think it is a radiation thing.” “You’d light up anyway,” Johnny Air-Guitar added. “You’re always smoking.” This reporter noted that most of the beings attending the protest in the office of the Beetlejuice Gaming Commission took some of these comments by the Robots From Mars as a joke. But I’m not convinced. I never met a synthetic that had a sense of humor.
